Another Update

Here is another update on my "Summer To Do List"

• update my blog---done, and again
• become a turtle volunteer--done, I am walking a one mile stretch of the beach each morning. So far my section has 3 nests. We found another nest this week!
• work on scrapbooks--purchased materials, sorted a few photos
• clean house--cleaned and rearranged sitting room, swept and mopped the stairwell, cleaned almost all the artificial plants, cleaned out a couple of drawers and the pantry shelves...isn't it amazing how so many things can be off date on your shelves?
• organize reading materials for next fall--went through some books to identify sight words
• repot plants--done, the birds have found the potted plants on the back porch and have knocked over a pot of dirt and they attacked an artificial butterfly!
• clear out the underbrush in the front yard--in progress, I have worked on it a little almost everyday, This project is continuing. I have continued to clear out the underbrush and the fire ants have continued to find me. I have several piles of cuttings that I am putting in the Herbie Curbie each garbage pick up day.
• email everyone I have neglected for several months--I have started and have emailed several folks, but this item is still "in progress"
• welcome family and friends to the beach--some friends from Hopkinsville are on the island this week and will come for dinner on Thursday. Jennifer, Hutch, Maggie and Ruf will come to SGI tomorrow.
• clean out my closet
• clean out the downstairs storage closet
• lose 30 pounds--order HMR products, the scale this morning showed a loss of 5 pounds.
