Random Thougths Again

It seemed like time to update this blog and since I didn't have a real subject in mind, I thought maybe another random thoughts would work.

Birthday Dinner We went to Atlanta to celebrate Jennifer and Clare's birthdays. If you haven't celebrate a special occasion at Buca de Beppo, you should. We made a reservation and found that we got a special table...in the kitchen. It was fun. There were no other diners around us. The hostesses would walk other diners through the kitchen and point out our table. After a few glasses of wine/beer we were waving at everyone and welcoming them to the restaurant. An added treat in the kitchen is that they gave us food we didn't order! It was all very good and even though it didn't seem like we ordered a lot, we had plenty left over for a couple of meals the next day!

The Boyfriend Clare brought "the boyfriend" with her. Joel turned out to be a super guy. He fit right in to our crazy group and he is still speaking to Clare after meeting all of us. They seem to be a real good match and it looks like they are happy together. We look forward to getting to spend more time with them at the beach.

Olympics It's that time again! Time to watch the limited TV coverage of the Olympics. What is NBC waiting for...it's Saturday afternoon, half the country is having rain and/or snow and they have yet to start coverage? I know events are going on because AOL is reporting them! Why can't we see them? I have always wondered why every network on the air shows the Rose Bowl Parade on New Year's Day, but when it comes to the Olympics with plenty of stuff to show only one network gets to give us their version. Why not divide it up...give the basketball to one network, skiing to another, etc. and even let us see some of the sports they never show?

Happy Valentine's Day!
