Happy Birthday to Clare and Jennifer!

The month of January is "Birthday Month" for our family. Both of our daughters were born in January...just about 8 years apart. Jennifer's birthday is the 28th and Clare's is the 26th, which was also her grandfather's birthday. Having three January birthdays, just about a month after Christmas, has always given us an opportunity for a wintertime family get together. We used to have the whole family come to our house in Kentucky for a Sunday dinner and birthday cake to celebrate. Those were always fun times.

When video cameras first came out "the kids" in the family entertained themselves at these family gatherings by make homemade commercials. They were hysterical. Unfortunately, our first video camera was Beta format, so we have lots of tapes that need to be convert to VHS and/or digital format so we can enjoy them again.

This year we are meeting "in the middle" at Lee and Jennifer's house for the birthday bash. An added treat this year is that we get to meet Clare's boyfriend, Joel. He has already earned several "points"...he was very supportive for Clare during a recent tragedy and he likes the movie Drumline.
